CLEARSUN Fellowship is for students who want more than a certificate: a small international team, a real regional question, AI-supported research practice, human mentoring, and a documented contribution that actual community stakeholders can read and use.CLEARSUNフェローシップは、単なる修了証以上の経験を求める学生のためのものです。少人数の国際チーム、実際の地域課題、AI支援型リサーチ、人間メンター、そして地域関係者が実際に読んで活用できる文書化された貢献を目指します。

CLS arranges mentor and professional support as a parallel stream, so Fellows can receive guidance that is usually difficult to access independently.CLSがメンターや専門家支援を並行して運営するため、通常は個人では得にくい助言にアクセスできます。
Founding Fellow status設立フェローの立場
The first cohort helps shape the method itself. Later cohorts may be larger, but only one group can be the founding group.第1期コホートは手法そのものを形づくります。後のコホートは大きくなるかもしれませんが、「設立期」になれるのは一つのグループだけです。

Motivated students are busy students. CLEARSUN should not feel like an unlimited obligation. One Phase is a complete six-month experience with specific milestones and outputs.意欲ある学生ほど忙しいものです。CLEARSUNは、終わりの見えない負担ではありません。1フェーズは、明確な節目と成果物を持つ約6ヶ月の完結した体験です。
Expected rhythm想定される進め方
About 4–6 hours per week, one regular team meeting, periodic mentor sessions, and asynchronous work across time zones. Continuing beyond one Phase is a choice, not an automatic obligation.週4〜6時間程度、定期的なチームミーティング、メンターセッション、時差をまたぐ非同期作業を想定しています。1フェーズを超えて継続するかは選択であり、自動的な義務ではありません。

Weeks 1–2第1〜2週
Cohort launch and team formationコホート開始とチーム形成
Fellows meet the cohort, clarify themes, and define how the team will work.フェローはコホートと出会い、テーマを確認し、チームの進め方を定めます。
Month 11ヶ月目
First stakeholder contact最初の関係者接点
With mentor guidance, teams begin careful contact with a local stakeholder or organization.メンターの助言を受けながら、地域の関係者や組織との慎重な接点を作ります。
Month 33ヶ月目
Mid-Phase review中間レビュー
Teams compare findings, refine the question, and avoid jumping too quickly to shallow solutions.チームは調査結果を比較し、問いを磨き、浅い解決案に急ぎすぎないよう調整します。
Month 66ヶ月目
Documented output and presentation文書化された成果と発表
The final output is prepared for review, sharing, and presentation to relevant stakeholders.最終成果物は、レビュー、共有、関係者への提示に向けて整理されます。
Longer engagement benefit継続参加者への支援
A future visit to the locality you studied and served.自分が調査し貢献した地域を、将来訪れる機会。
For Fellows who complete at least two Phases, making their total engagement with the programme at least one year, CLS will work with local partners to arrange home-stay or other stay options for up to one month, if they later visit the locality that they researched and served.少なくとも2フェーズを完了し、プログラムへの関与が合計1年以上となったフェローについては、将来、自分が調査し貢献した地域を訪問する場合、CLSは地域パートナーと連携し、最長1ヶ月のホームステイまたはその他の滞在先の手配を支援します。
Travel funding is not promised as a standard benefit. A travel grant may be explored only when funding and the after-impact of the project make it realistic.渡航費支援は標準特典として約束するものではありません。プロジェクトの継続的なインパクトや資金状況により現実的な場合に限り、渡航支援の可能性を検討します。
Who should apply応募に向いている人
Not for everyone. Suitable for students who can stay with ambiguity.全員向けではありません。曖昧さに向き合える学生向けです。
The fellowship is best suited to students who are curious, reliable, and willing to work on questions that do not have a single correct answer.このフェローシップは、好奇心があり、信頼でき、単一の正解がない問いに取り組む意志のある学生に向いています。
Selection priorities選考で重視する点
- University students, preferably second year and above大学生、できれば2年生以上
- Interest in regional, social, or community issues地域・社会・コミュニティ課題への関心
- Working English ability is preferred, but not essential; supporting AI tools will help bridge language gaps.英語でのコミュニケーション力があれば望ましいですが、必須ではありません。AI支援ツールを活用して言語の差を補います。
- Ability to commit steadily for one Phase1フェーズに安定して関われること
